Gojjavalakki (tamarind flavor Poha) recipe

the taste of Gojjavalakki is almost similar to Puliyogare or Tamarind rice


Tamarind: 25 grams
jaggery: 20grams
Rasam Powder: 2-3 tea spoon
Dappa Avalakki/Poha/ thick rice flakes: 2 cups
Salt: 1 Tea spoon
grated coconut: as you wish
Coriander leaves: as you wish
Pea nut: 10 grams
oil, mustard seeds, urid dal, channa dal for thadka.

first crush thick rice flakes in mixer to a size of Rava/Sooji. then was it properly. extract the juice from Tamarind.
add tamarind juice, jaggery, salt and rasam powder to washed poha and mix it well and keep aside for 5 minutes. meanwhile, put a frying pan on stove, add 2 spoon oil. once oil heats, add peanuts, mustard seeds, urid dal, channa dal one by one and fry them. Once it is done, add the pre mixed poha and saute it. Now your gojjAvalakki is ready. you can decorate it with grated coconut and coriander leaves
