I just want to know why...
Don't we all Zeroth, let's stick with 42, sit back and enjoy the orange :-)
so now what do you do with it?
Is it edible?
seriously james? is it edible? if your serious you add considerable doubt to the intelligence of man kind. really cool orange though! haha
Like I remind all my little pupils, Non-Toxic does not mean edible :)
@emily "you're"
Beautiful! I love it. Art for the sake of art, very well done! Why do people have to ask why?
Now that is truly amazing! Wow!

As a person who has a lot of time on his hands, let me be the first to say that the tiny-orange creator has too much time on his hands and may need to consult a therapist of some sort.
you got patience!
Wow! I've seen candy rolled up that way, but it didn't go this far.
I make smaller oranges. But this is definitely the smallest woman-made orange. At least they try and that's why we love them.
If you made it out of marzipan it would be edible and even funnier.
What, you mean it's not marzipan? What is it, then?
Colored fondant icing maybe?
Now that's just cool. Anyone who has ever spent the same amount of time playing a video game as you have making this has no room to ask "why?". I'd do it if I had any sort of art skill whatsoever.
It's polymer clay. I work in polymer clay myself, but I tend to make fantasy creatures rather than tiny food. These miniaturists amaze me. Check out this site if you want to see more minis; some of them will blow your mind: www.cdhm.org
awesome
Johan, are you seriously implying that men are superior and women can only "try"? You really don't want to go there.
Wow! More comments on
StumbleUpon reviews - u folks know how to have a good time. Enjoy.
and
Reddit reviews - totally hilarious man! rotfl!
haha that's class!it would break your soul if someone stood on it though...
would you tell me how did you sent this page to others?
That's just g'damn incredible. could have gone without the massively zoomed in shots of the artist's fingernails, however.
i suggest you to put some social bookmarking icon in ottom of your page and link them to something like dig to improve your rank and distribution
People just don't appreciate these beautiful small oranges. I personally can get enough of them. I have a large collection of small oranges as well as apples, tomatoes, pears...
I onces saw a pineapple at an tiny replica fruit conference and did not buy it. I have not gone a day without thinking about it and that was many years ago.
very neat but i don't like the swerve at the end. it should be noted that it is a different orange cut up in the last photo. i refuse to believe that there is a knife with a handle that small. don't get me wrong i give you all the credit for making the world's smallest man made orange in the picture prior but i just felt deceived. maybe if you could do some sort of caption or formal apology or something...that'd be pretty diesel. you're in it for the fame but son, you gotta reconnect with your roots.

I always thought:Why can't i find more women to have sex with?...turns out they are busy making tiny oranges.
Wow. Just amazing. I love it.
I don't get people who ask 'why?' It's like climbing a mountain. Why? Because it's there. Why make a tiny orange? Because you can, and it will look freakin' awesome.
check this cite mad cooler then this http://threadless.com/?from=snowboardude180

Cherish the doubt. Lesser species live without.
Wow, most of these comments are ridiculous. I think it's great and takes a lot of skill. I hate when people ask why for any art - it's ART you morons! Anyway, kudos to you :)
P.S. got the link from Craftzine
wow - I make small items from polymer clay myself including miniature fruit - I have to say your orange is awesome, am I right in thinking the plate and knife are the same as those used in dolls houses (to scale models)?
The miniature orange pictures have been taken directly from Angie Scarr's website. She has had them copywritten for several years.
People put these in their dollhouses. That's what it's for. If you're curious about the dollhouse miniaturists hobby, come and ask us on http://community.livejournal.com/recruit_miniers/ if you have livejournal.
No, they're not edible, it's polymer clay. The technique is called 'caning', and it's similar to the technique used for boiled sweets, and certain beads.
Also, yes, knives that little exist- but they are not 'real' knives they are miniature ones for in dollhouses. She cut it up using a scalpel then put the miniature knife there to complete the miniature scene.
Love the Polymer Clay Tute! Been reading some of the comments... man there sure are some interesting people out there! (Probably been eating way too many polymer clay oranges!)
thats basically how you make taffy
OMFG.
Man, i wish i had an unnecessarily small orange..
seriously. omg.
I think this is how God made all the oranges
wowzers, always wondered how God made the orange, much better than the explanation my parents gave!
holy waste of time!
that is awesome
So I was wondering why there were stupid people on this planet, and now I know. So they can make rude comments to make themselves feel big!
To the people that say it's a waste of time, maybe we think you sitting on your ass in front of your piddly PC is a waste of time :)
The orange is a miniature, the knife was easily made with clay and other materials. It's something people enjoy doing. Tards.
I like this orange!! I want to make it and others for my Barbie group!! Does it dry on its own or do I have to bake it??? Im guessing the clay comes in different colors??
Well I for one get it. I love minatures and I really love your orange. Have you made any other fruit?

forget why!
dude! can you show us how to make the smallest watermelon? with pits?
God bless!
love love love
I love the fact this serves no practical purpose other than to do it! Brilliant. The person must have the patience of a Saint, or he/she was really bored that day! :-)
Bravo
Very cute. I don't thhink I would be able to make such a tiny object, but you did a great job!
Thank you for posting this tutorial. You rock and I love you. I'll use this technique to make banana canes! :)
I once made a 6 foot high carrot made from papier mache.
I love the tiny oranges, they even look right being "peeled"
Richard
I love you did the skin, I've made slices but would have thought how to texture the skin.
i just died.
this is so amazingly cute.
I'd like to make a little orange necklace or pair of earrings, can these be made into beads? very cute!
So very cute!
Good!
And Nice!!
But...very good!!!

*tears pouring out of eyes as the hilarity becomes too much to bear*

Roommate comes in, frantic, tries to resuscitate, but is unsuccessful. Curious and saddened, she reads what is written on the screen. And promptly asphyxiates from intense amusement.
The end.
(Tiny. Fruit. Replica. Conference.)
damn... its so creative yaar... praiseworth job ;)
http://www.fluffybricks.blogspot.com for more tiny things!
Orange you glad it's not a banana.
Re: Tiny. Fruit. Replica. Conference.
Do you think they held it in a mini-mall?
And, you do realize he's been pining for that pineapple for years... a classic tale of unrequited yearning for the torrid passion(fruit) that can never, never be.
*wipes away tear*
This is very cool but I think it is very pathetic that lots of guys had to point out that a woman made this....Misogyny is gross...
So freaking cute
